My name is Melissa Yeagley and this November I will be running in my 2nd NYC Marathon. A good friend and Fordham University colleague recently introduced me to a foundation that he works closely with, The Katie McBride Foundation. One of the most inspiring things about running the NYC Marathon last year was seeing so many people running for various charities and foundations. For my 2nd go around, I’ve decided to team up with the Katie McBride Foundation and run in her honor. The mission of the Katie McBride Foundation is to honor the memory of Katie and the families of all childhood leukemia victims and other life-threatening diseases. Their work throughout the greater New York area is truly outstanding and inspiring. They have helped so many families in need and I look forward to teaming up with the foundation for a memorable day!
