The event honors Katie while raising important funds and awareness of the Ronald McDonald House and the family support services it provides.

Katie's Run is held in the Incorporated Village of New Hyde Park, located at the border of Queens and Nassau County. The start location will be near the New Hyde Park Funeral Home (506 Lakeville Rd, New Hyde Park, NY). The 5K and 2mi courses will both end inside Memorial Park (1351 Lincoln Ave, New Hyde Park, NY).
The starting line near the New Hyde Park Funeral Home is South of the Grand Central/Northern State Parkway at Exit 25 (Lakeville Rd), the LI Expressway at Exit 33 (Lakeville Rd), and East of the Cross Island Parkway at Exit 27 E (Jamaica Ave/Jericho Tpke Exit).
